Austin Davis St X high school 2014

Up next in my Player Profile series is St Xavier Junior RB Austin Davis. Austin is 1/3 of the three headed monster that St X has at RB. But Austin is no slouch, his numbers still standout. During his Junior season Austin had 73 carries racking up 729 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 5 passes for another 55 yards and another touchdown. Those are some big time numbers. At 5'10 and 215 pounds Davis has the prototypical size to play Division 1 college football right now! And Division 1 coaches have noticed. Austin has received interest from a plethora of schools including  Florida state, Tennessee, Wku, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Purdue and Western Michigan. On film Austin shows his ability to use his size as an advantage as he runs low behind his pads and treats apposing defenders like small children. Austin also shows the foot speed to out run defenders on his way to the endzone. Davis is also a do-it-all back displaying on film his ability to block blitzing defenders. Austin Davis #45 for St X should definitely be a name to look out for in the Fall of 2013. Check out Austin Davis's Junior season highlights http://youtu.be/jRWxfBnNkUs and enjoy!
